I'm so excited to share my "me made" dress today, which is this Cynthia Rowley pleated dress Simplicity 8414!  This is a popular pattern that I saw all over Instagram in various peoples pattern hauls as soon it was released.  I decided to pick it up too on a pattern sale.  The details looked intricate and I couldn't really wrap my head around what was involved.  But I decided to go for it because I loved the shape and style of this dress.

It's 27 degrees here in Austin right now which means the entire city has shut down.  Which is fine with me because I get to put a log in the fire place and update my blog, hopefully get some sewing done too.  Today I am showing off this easy to make cardigan.  What inspired me first to make this was the fabric.

Holy moly!!  When I came here to write this blog post, I realized that I didn't post anything in December!  Well, that just shows how fast that month flew by for me.  Not only was it busy with getting ready for the holidays but my birthday is very close to Christmas and I worked on my birthday dress for most of the month.  I can't wait to show it off here, which will be very soon.  In the mean time, I'm here talk about this pretty top I made back in November.  It's this beautiful terracotta color and a Southwestern style design by Art Gallery Fabrics.
